About the Trainer
Hi, I’m Ty Jaegersen! I’m a Certified Professional Dog Trainer based in Beaverton, Oregon. My training utilizes positive reinforcement and humane, science-based behavior modification techniques.
My credentials are held through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT), the leading independent organization for the dog training profession. Part of this certification includes a commitment to ongoing education in dog training and behavior through courses, seminars, workshops and other learning streams.
Training Methods
My training is rooted in establishing clear, force-free communication using rewards-based methods. This may involve methods like: using markers like a clicker or other verbal marker, capturing, luring, classical conditioning and implementing management and enrichment to name a few. My goal is to help dog guardians to better understand their dog and how to live their best lives together.

Lois was my catalyst to pursuing a career with dogs full time. She was very fearful from a young age and we learned how to be patient and brave together.

Lenore inspires me to find joy in all things. She’s helped me better understand how play can be training and vice versa.
